Competition Team

E-Street Dance Company is one of the most recognized and decorated competition teams in Maryland.  Winner of the 2026 NYCDA Outstanding Studio Award and the 2026 Dancers Inc. Studio of Excellence, we pride ourselves on providing a healthy dance education to dancers of many ages and levels, allowing seasoned and novice dancers the chance to compete. 

Competition for all ages

The competition team at E-Street is open to all dancers ages 4-18.  We welcome dancers at all levels of dance and encourage beginners to audition. 

Our competition levels are as follows:

• Advanced (Dancers with exceptional technique and competition experience. These dancers typically dance 4-6 days per week and engage in additional training from our E-Street affiliates).
• Intermediate (Dancers with some technique and competition experience and are training in our intermediate courses.  These dancers dance 2-4 days per week). 
• Beginner (Dancers with little to no experience in dance training.  The dancers can span all ages and are encouraged to audition! These dancers typically dance 1-3 days per week with limited ours per day).

Competitions and conventions

The team competed in approximately 4 regional competitions and 1 national competition per season.  These are all mandatory to be a member of the competition team. 

Dancers are permitted to attend any convention they choose as long as the dancer is registers through ESDA and it does not conflict with our competition schedule.

Solos

Company members have the option to compete in solos, duos and trios at E-Street Dance Academy.  Unlike other studios, we do not pick who gets to participate.  At E-Street, the choice is yours.
